Neighborhood Services is responsible for enforcing the City's ordinances, Land Development Code, applicable provisions of the Florida Building Code, and other matters assigned by the City Manager. Our approach emphasizes compassion, fairness, professionalism, and education while building strong partnerships with neighborhoods and community assistance programs to address local issues.

The department also oversees contracted city services, including Animal Services, Solid Waste, County DOT, County Parks and Recreation, and the Sheriff's Office, serving as a liaison between the community and government agencies. In addition, Neighborhood Services serves as the City's primary emergency management resource for city personnel.

These responsibilities help protect the health, safety, and welfare of everyone who lives, works, or visits our City while enhancing property values, community appearance, and neighborhood pride. Neighborhood Services reports directly to the City Manager and carries out additional responsibilities as needed to support the City's overall welfare.
