2022 Redistricting
The City of Bonita Springs invites the public to attend a Redistricting Workshop on February 17th at 5:30pm at City Hall, located at 9101 Bonita Beach Rd SE, Bonita Springs, FL 34135. The workshop will also be viewable on BTV Comcast Channel 98, Hotwire Channel 398, Summit Channel 96, or live-streamed on the City of Bonita Springs website: cityofbonitasprings.org/stream

The City of Bonita Springs is separated into six district boundaries. The City of Bonita Springs is subject to Florida State Law and the US Voting Rights Act in respect to redistricting. The City is also required by City Charter, Section 53 to redraw districts when there is a change in population based on the US Census.

The United States Census released the P.L. 94-171 Redistricting Data in September of 2021. The census showed that the population in Bonita Springs city has increased from 43,914 in 2010 to 53,644 in 2020. The purpose of redistricting in Bonita Springs is to ensure that each of the six districts has an equal population distribution.
