City of Bonita Springs Bond Referendum: Held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026
On April 15, 2026, the City of Bonita Springs City Council adopted Ordinance 26-05, which orders and calls for a Bond Referendum of the City's qualified electors, to be held at the same time and places as the primary election on August 18, 2026, coordinated by the Lee County Supervisor of Elections.
The results as certified by the Lee County Canvassing Board were as follows: Yes received 8,971 votes, and No received 4,175 votes, resulting in approval of the referendum by a majority of the City’s qualified electors.
2026 Regular Municipal Election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026
The City of Bonita Springs Regular Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in conjunction with the federal, state, and county 2026 General Election, for the purpose of electing City Council Members for Districts 3 and 5.
The City's Municipal Elections are administered by the Lee County Supervisor of Elections. For voter registration assistance, vote‑by‑mail ballot requests, early voting information, Election Day precinct locations, or any other voter‑related information, please contact the Lee County Supervisor of Elections at (239) 533‑8683 or visit www.lee.vote.
Only registered voters residing within each respective district may vote for the candidates in that district.

Term of Office: The term of office for elected City officials is four (4) years.
