MayorAs a lobbyist for a Fortune 500 company, large, medium and small companies/corporations, Peter understands the complexities of different legislative needs, project development, raising capital, staff management and working successfully with others to make a project come together. Peter has built governmental coalitions, legislative teams, and raised millions of dollars for numerous political and non-profit causes since the turn of the century.

Peter sat on the Fundraising and Development Board of Directors at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Trinity Health, and the Advisory Board of Directors for Wealth Management at Capital Bank of Naples, FL and assisted in capital campaigns at the Salvation Army, Cleary University, Michigan Theatre, Artrain USA, and the Purple Rose Theatre.

As Deputy Chief of Staff in the United States Congress, Chief of Staff in the State Senate and Director of the Office of Public Affairs for a Secretary of State, Peter has extensive experience in staff management, budget oversight, legislative affairs, press relations, public outreach, and community relations. He managed several congressional campaigns, hiring/firing, overseeing and directing numerous individuals simultaneously. Peter assisted Bush for President 2000 Michigan State Finance Director, Ronald Weiser (retired Ambassador to The Slovak Republic and former Finance Chairman of the Republican National Committee) in raising over $3,000,000 million dollars for the campaign making Michigan second per-capita and fifth overall in national fundraising; assisted in fundraising and field operations for the national Bush-Cheney 2000 campaign in Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan, Ohio, and the Florida recount; ultimately receiving an offer to work in the White House.

Peter was honored to be elected to the Bonita Springs City Council in 2012, as Mayor in 2016, and has been an outspoken fiscal conservative. Peter serves on the Board of Directors with the Florida League of Mayors and is a member of the United States Conference of Mayors.
He has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, FOX, CNN, CNBC and has been quoted in the New York Times, and Miami Herald providing on the ground coverage of Hurricane Irma. He was a Division 1 athlete on the University of New Hampshire crew team in college, is an “honorary deputy” with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and had the honor of swearing in former Congressman Pete Hoekstra as the current Ambassador to Holland.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire, a Master of Arts in Government from The American University, and a Juris Doctorate from The District of Columbia School of Law. He is a native of the New Hampshire Seacoast and lives with his wife, SueZahn, and two children, Elizabeth and Peter, in Bonita Springs, Florida.
