About the project:
The Pine Lake Preserve Re-hydration Project by the City of Bonita Springs will reestablish hydraulic connectivity between the Imperial River and its historic watershed to the east. This project aims to redirect water flows south onto the Pine Lake Preserve property from an existing stormwater ditch on the property's northern boundary. Once onsite, stormwater will be directed via overland sheet flow into two existing shallow ponds. The ponds will be modified to outfall to another overland sheet flow condition, ultimately converging into an existing severed tributary of the Imperial River.
