Big things are happening in Downtown Bonita Springs! We are thrilled to share that our vision for a more vibrant, accessible, and modern downtown is rapidly taking shape.
Major Project Updates
Incredible progress is being made on transformative developments that will redefine the downtown experience:
- Riverside Park: Phase One Construction is complete. Phase Two construction begins the second week of April 2026.
- Splash Pad: The beautiful state-of-the-art splash pad project and new restroom facilities are under construction at the Banyan Lot.
- These projects are on track for a grand opening in Winter 2026.
- Barron Collier Project: This major private-public development is moving forward steadily, bringing new energy and infrastructure to the heart of our city.
Event Planning & Park Access
To make these improvements possible, Riverside Park will be closed starting the second week of April. However, the festivities don't have to stop!
- Alternative Venues: We encourage organizers to utilize the Liles Hotel Plaza and the beautiful green space between the Liles Hotel and Riverside Park, which remain available for community gatherings.
- Event Planner Toolkit: The city has launched a comprehensive toolkit specifically designed to help organizers navigate this construction phase seamlessly.
- Parking & Logistics: To ensure a smooth experience for guests, the City has developed a detailed Parking Map- We are also working closely with organizers to encourage shuttle services and promote ridesharing to reduce congestion.
