Rainy Season is Here
Posted on 03/12/2019
Improve Our Water Quality June 1st through September 30th is the official designation of the rainy season. During this period, the City has enacted a black out period in which the use of fertilizers containing Nitrogen or Phosphorus is prohibited. This applies to Professional landscapers and Homeowners alike.  During the rainy  season, fertilizer combined with rain and run-off redirects the harmful Nitrogen and Phosphorus from our lawns into our precious waterways. This in turn contributes to the growth of red tide and harmful algal blooms. Our beaches and rivers are a resource of great value, please do your part to keep them clean for generations to come. If you have any questions please feel free to let us know, it is our pleasure to assist in any way possible.
