The goal of the Parks and Recreation Department is to revitalize the City of Bonita Springs and to enrich the quality of lives of our local residents, along with our visitors and develop their communities through quality recreation and leisure needs.

Recreation Center

The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center sits on 41.9 acres of land which is located at 26740 Pine Avenue off of West Terry Street and has something for everyone. Our facility includes a full-sized gymnasium, a cardiovascular/fitness room, skate park, community pool, softball fields, 2 public tennis courts, 18-hole disc golf course, picnic areas and a playground. We also offer daily activities and registered classes to teach and enlighten everyone of all ages.

Riverside Park

The Bonita Springs Riverside Park is located on old US 41 Road and sits on the Imperial River. The park is used for holiday celebrations, art shows, festivals, Movies in the Park, and the Celebrate Bonita Festival. Also in the park is the newly renovated band shell. Our amenities include sheltered picnic tables, park benches and restrooms.

Community Pool

The twenty-five yard Community Outdoor Pool is located at 26890 Pine Avenue, just off West Terry Street. The facility offers a number of classes year round. The pool has eight lap lanes and ranges from three feet nine inches to six feet deep, and is temperature controlled.

Recreation News and Updates

 

  • NEW – Friday and Saturday City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center Hours:   Friday, 6:30 am – 5 pm. Saturday, 8 am – 5 pm.
  • The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center will be closed on Monday, December 25, AND Tuesday, December 26 for the Christmas Holiday.  All regularly scheduled programs and classes will not be held on these dates.
  • FEMA Disaster Recovery Center is now located in the small recreation building, located at 26738 Pine Ave., Bonita Springs.  FEMA Hours of Operation Monday – Saturday, 9 am – 7 pm, CLOSED on Sunday.  
  • Community Park Updates  – Playground now OPEN. Park playground location:  26740 Pine Avenue, Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
  • Ball Diamond Updates – All ball fields CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
  • Dog Park Updates –  The Dog Park is OPEN.
  • Bonita Nature Place – The park is OPEN.
    Skate Park Updates – The Skate Park is CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
  • Soccer Field Updates –
  • Marni Soccer Fields –  CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
  • Kent Road Soccer Fields – OPEN during daylight hours and available for night play.
  • Kent Road Soccer Fields – Will be CLOSED beginning December 25-January 7.  Fields RE-OPEN for play on Monday, January 8.
