The goal of the Parks and Recreation Department is to revitalize the City of Bonita Springs and to enrich the quality of lives of our local residents, along with our visitors and develop their communities through quality recreation and leisure needs.

Recreation Center

The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center sits on 41.9 acres of land which is located at 26740 Pine Avenue off of West Terry Street and has something for everyone. Our facility includes a full-sized gymnasium, a cardiovascular/fitness room, skate park, community pool, softball fields, 2 public tennis courts, 18-hole disc golf course, picnic areas and a playground. We also offer daily activities and registered classes to teach and enlighten everyone of all ages.

Riverside Park

The Bonita Springs Riverside Park is located on old US 41 Road and sits on the Imperial River. The park is used for holiday celebrations, art shows, festivals, Movies in the Park, and the Celebrate Bonita Festival. Also in the park is the newly renovated band shell. Our amenities include sheltered picnic tables, park benches and restrooms.

Community Pool

The twenty-five yard Community Outdoor Pool is located at 26890 Pine Avenue, just off West Terry Street. The facility offers a number of classes year round. The pool has eight lap lanes and ranges from three feet nine inches to six feet deep, and is temperature controlled.

  • NEW Class – FREE for MEMBERS, $5 for Non-Members – Walk/Jog Club –  Tuesdays – 6:15 pm – 7 pm.  Enhance your fitness routine with walk/jog interval training outdoors  – Training with Raph – Begins on May 2.  For more information, please contact the recreation center.
  • NEW Class – PIYO – Pilates and Yoga combo with Robin.  Mondays, 11:15 am – 12:15 pm, April 24-May 15.  $25 for four classes.

  • The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center will be CLOSED on Monday, May 29, 2017, Memorial Day Holiday.  All regularly scheduled programs and activities will not be held on this date.

  • Dog Park Updates – The ENTIRE Dog Park will be closed Thursday, May 4 – Saturday, May 6, 2017,  for maintenance.  The Dog Park will reopen on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 5 pm.  The LARGE Dog Run will be closed for maintenance May 4 – 15, 2017.
