The goal of the Parks and Recreation Department is to revitalize the City of Bonita Springs and to enrich the quality of lives of our local residents, along with our visitors and develop their communities through quality recreation and leisure needs.

Recreation Center

The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center sits on 41.9 acres of land which is located at 26740 Pine Avenue off of West Terry Street and has something for everyone. Our facility includes a full-sized gymnasium, a cardiovascular/fitness room, skate park, community pool, softball fields, 2 public tennis courts, 18-hole disc golf course, picnic areas and a playground. We also offer daily activities and registered classes to teach and enlighten everyone of all ages.

Riverside Park

The Bonita Springs Riverside Park is located on old US 41 Road and sits on the Imperial River. The park is used for holiday celebrations, art shows, festivals, Movies in the Park, and the Celebrate Bonita Festival. Also in the park is the newly renovated band shell. Our amenities include sheltered picnic tables, park benches and restrooms.

Community Pool

The twenty-five yard Community Outdoor Pool is located at 26890 Pine Avenue, just off West Terry Street. The facility offers a number of classes year round. The pool has eight lap lanes and ranges from three feet nine inches to six feet deep, and is temperature controlled.

Recreation News and Updates


  • The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center will be closed all day on Monday, May 30, 2016, in observance of Memorial Day.  All regularly scheduled classes and programs will not be held on this date.  The recreation center will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 31.
  • Be prepared this hurricane season, register today for the free Hurricane Preparedness Seminar, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 6 pm.  For more more information and to register, please contact the recreation center at 239-992-2556.  FREE light refreshments sponsored by: Brookdale Bonita Springs – Senior Living Solutions.
  • New!  Sign up today for Smash & Splash, Tennis & Swim Camp for boys and girls ages 10-14.  The camp will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 14-23 from 10 am –  1 pm.  Fee $40.  Please contact the recreation center to register and more information.
  • Adult Tennis Lessons – Beginner – Advanced Beginner – Thursdays, 9 am – 10 am, June 16-July 14.  Fee $50, includes five one-hour lessons.
