Bonita Springs Parks and Recreation

The goal of the Parks and Recreation Department is to revitalize the City of Bonita Springs and to enrich the quality of lives of our local residents, along with our visitors and develop their communities through quality recreation and leisure needs.

Recreation Center

The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center sits on 41.9 acres of land which is located at 26740 Pine Avenue off of West Terry Street and has something for everyone. Our facility includes a full-sized gymnasium, a cardiovascular/fitness room, skate park, community pool, softball fields, 2 public tennis courts, 18-hole disc golf course, picnic areas and a playground. We also offer daily activities and registered classes to teach and enlighten everyone of all ages.

Riverside Park

The Bonita Springs Riverside Park is located on old US 41 Road and sits on the Imperial River. The park is used for holiday celebrations, art shows, festivals, Movies in the Park, and the Celebrate Bonita Festival. Also in the park is the newly renovated band shell. Our amenities include sheltered picnic tables, park benches and restrooms.

Community Pool

The twenty-five yard Community Outdoor Pool is located at 26890 Pine Avenue, just off West Terry Street. The facility offers a number of classes year round. The pool has eight lap lanes and ranges from three feet nine inches to six feet deep, and is temperature controlled.

  • Skate Park Updates – The Skate Park is OPEN.
  • NEW – FREE for MEMBERS, $5 for Non-Members – Functional Fitness – Fitness Class – Tuesdays –           6 pm – 6:45 pm  Enhance your fitness routine and achieve proper technique  – training with Raph – For more information, please contact the recreation center.
  • Zumba with Leigh is Back!  Tuesdays, March 7 – 28, 8 am – 9 am.  $25 for four classes.
  • NEW Class – PIYO – Pilates and Yoga combination class with Robin.  Mondays, 11:15 am – 12:15 pm, March 13 – April 3.  $25 for four classes.
  • NEW Class – Dance Cardio – Cardio dance class based on Country Heat with Robin.  Fridays, 11:15 am – 12:15 pm, March 10 – April 7. $25 for four classes.  No class will be held on March 17.
  • Pickle Ball Tournament – Doubles Round Robin Event – Saturday, March 18, 1 pm.  Register by Monday, March 13.  $5 cash entry per member at the City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center.  Register to play in an “Open” or “Recreation” Division.
  • FREE Safety Seminar –  Stay Safe in the Event of an Active Shooter – Thursday, March 30, 11 am.  Seminar conducted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and Officer Scott Griffith. Pre-Register at the City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center, space is limited, sign up today!
  • The City of Bonita Springs and Recreation Center and The Bonita Springs YMCA are partnering for the busy season months.  City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center Members are able to utilize The Bonita Springs YMCA Fitness Center, Baskeball Gymnasium, and Aquatic Facility, FREE of charge, beginning January 1, 2017 – April 30, 2017.  City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center Members must present their City Membership Card at the YMCA.  Unlimited visits, maximum the first 100 City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center Members to register at the YMCA.
