Bonita Springs Parks and Recreation

The goal of the Parks and Recreation Department is to revitalize the City of Bonita Springs and to enrich the quality of lives of our local residents, along with our visitors and develop their communities through quality recreation and leisure needs.

Recreation Center

The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center sits on 41.9 acres of land which is located at 26740 Pine Avenue off of West Terry Street and has something for everyone. Our facility includes a full-sized gymnasium, a cardiovascular/fitness room, skate park, community pool, softball fields, 2 public tennis courts, 18-hole disc golf course, picnic areas and a playground. We also offer daily activities and registered classes to teach and enlighten everyone of all ages.

Riverside Park

The Bonita Springs Riverside Park is located on old US 41 Road and sits on the Imperial River. The park is used for holiday celebrations, art shows, festivals, Movies in the Park, and the Celebrate Bonita Festival. Also in the park is the newly renovated band shell. Our amenities include sheltered picnic tables, park benches and restrooms.

Community Pool

The twenty-five yard Community Outdoor Pool is located at 26890 Pine Avenue, just off West Terry Street. The facility offers a number of classes year round. The pool has eight lap lanes and ranges from three feet nine inches to six feet deep, and is temperature controlled.

  • NEW – FREE for MEMBERS, $5 for Non-Members – Calorie Crusher – Fitness Class – Tuesdays – 6 pm – 6:45 pm – Circuit training with Raph – For more information, please contact the recreation center.  Calorie Crusher class will be NOT be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.
  • The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center will be closed on Saturday, December 24, 2016 AND Monday, December 26, 2016 in observance of Christmas Holiday.  All regularly scheduled programs and activities will not be held on these dates.
  • Late Skate – Skate Park Special Event – Wednesday, December 28, 2016 – 5 pm – 10 pm – FREE for those with a current unlimited pass.  $1 per participant for non-pass holders.  All guests under the age of eighteen are required to have parent/legal guardian fill out waiver form in person the night of the event in order to participate. Snacks will be available for sale, cash only.
  • The City of Bonita Springs Recreation Center will be open on Saturday, December 31, 2016, New Year’s Eve, from 8 am – 4 pm.  The Skate Park will be open on this date from 1 pm – 4 pm.
  • Soccer Field Updates –
  • Kent Soccer Complex – Soccer fields – CURRENTLY OPEN. 
  • Marni – Soccer fields – CURRENTLY OPEN.
  • ALL soccer fields will be closed for maintenance December 22, 2016 – January 4, 2017.  Soccer fields will reopen beginning January 5, 2017.
  • Sign up today for Personal Training and get fit while having fun!  Fee $35 for a one hour session, $20 for a 1/2 hour session.  Please contact the recreation center to register and more information.
