District 2- Janet Martin
She worked in the travel/hotel/tourism industry for many years. She feels very fortunate to be able to move to Bonita Springs 14 years ago with husband, Thom. They purchased their home 2 blocks from Downtown Old 41 because they believe in the revitalization vision shared by so many. Their daughter lives in Bonita Springs with her husband and two daughters and teaches dance at a local studio.
During their spare time, Janet and her family enjoy the South West Florida environment by kayaking the Imperial River, walking Cullum’s Trail and frequenting the many special events in downtown Bonita Springs. They love to walk the beach and catch a Bonita Beach sunset. Janet welcomes you to join her and become more involved in Bonita Springs. Many days, she can be found volunteering at the Bonita Nature Place.
Janet is a Leadership Bonita 2009 graduate and championed the City resolution creating the city as a Gopher Tortoise safe place. She is also a frequent guest lecturer for FGCU environmental studies students at the BNP.
